The next event will be on Dec. 31 at Genesis Pball in Odessa.
It will be a little different. Instead of a tournament, we will be having challenge matches: one team simply challenges another team to play or picks a team to play from a hat. We will be doing that until around 1:30pm or 2:00pm.
At that time, we will start the pilot (test run) of 1-man/5-ball: 1-on-1 with 5 balls per player. Everything else is the same (two flags, etc.). This variation (still 2/10, if you look at the numbers) has been asked about/requested with strong interest for some time and we're using New Year's Eve Day to give it a good test. Frank H. and I did a pre-pilot last weekend at CFP and it is totally fun and very different in some ways. Having two flags completely changes things and the game changes noticeably the moment that someone has their flag in hand.
After that, the next events will be the last weekend in January, 2012: one at CFP on Sat. and the other at Genesis on Sunday.
